A Connecticut law that was supposed to begin on Oct. 1 and ban the sales of a popular handgun was blocked after a federal judge granted an injunction to stop its implementation. Lawmakers and Gov. Ted Lamont passed the measure because criminals are converting a feature in Glock handguns, transforming them from semi-automatic to automatic, which is already against the law.
“This is the correct decision to put a hold on this law while the court can hear arguments exposing the constitutional flaws that grossly trample on the fundamental rights of law-abiding citizens," said Lawrence G. Keane, National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) senior vice president and general counsel." Connecticut’s gun control politicians believe there are no bounds when it comes to infringing on the Second Amendment."
According to NSSF, more than 500,000 of this style of firearm are sold annually for self-defense and other uses.
“This is just another attempt by the Democratic majority in this state to show that they are openly hostile to law-abiding gun owners in the state of Connecticut,” State Sen. Rob Sampson, told WTNH-TV.
Hunt 2 Conserve is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment.
